At nearly 100 years old, The Ritz Theatre in Corpus Christi is ready to reclaim her place in the spotlight. Shuttered in 1989, the jaw-dropping atmospheric theatre once introduced talking movies (and air conditioning) to South Texas. It hosted music acts ranging from Waylon Jennings to The Pointer Sisters and Metallica to Willie Nelson.

With your help, we can rehabilitate the Ritz Theatre and bring this South Texas treasure back as a cultural and entertainment landmark – so the show can go on.

On March 7th, we welcomed people who traveled from across the state to see Ally The Piper on stage for The Ritz at BUS. Then last week, we gathered for the 3rd Annual Rack 'em For The Ritz Mahjong Tournament. With the support of outstanding raffle donors, sponsors, and table sponsors, we raised funds to support The Ritz. Next up is the Arte y Pasión Flamenco and Spanish Performing Arts Company at BUS on May 13--tickets will be available soon! Whether we saw you once or twice this month, or you're watching the schedule for the next Spotlight Series event, thank you for your support of The Ritz!
