July 1, 2025 — The Board of Directors of the Ritz Theatre is announcing it will conduct a national search for a new executive director to work with leadership as they continue on their path of preserving Corpus Christi’s iconic theatre. Jillian Becquet has been named interim executive director.
June 3, 2025 - The Texas Legislature is helping set the stage for a Lone Star Encore. Support for The Ritz Theatre comes with backing from Representative Todd Hunter and Senator Chuy Hinojosa via Texas Historical Commission.
December 3, 2024—We’ve reached over $2 million in support of the rehabilitation of The Ritz Theatre. A grant from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation Arnim Brothers Fund provided the $50,000 grant from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation.
August 29, 2024 - Nova Herin has secured the naming rights for The Ritz Theatre blade, which will be prominently displayed on the theatre's facade. This generous gift honors her late husband, Buddy Herin, who was deeply committed to community building.
