The Historic 1929 Ritz Theatre
Plans are underway to restore Corpus Christi’s historical landmark, The Ritz Theatre!
Built in 1929, the Ritz was the first talking movie theater in the area and was considered one of the finest theatres in Texas. In the 1970s, it was best known as The Ritz Music Hall, home to many artists, from Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, and Stevie Ray Vaughan to Metallica and Def Leppard.

The Ritz Theatre, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the historic Ritz Theatre
into a modern, top-tier entertainment and education venue focused on developing, nurturing,
and promoting the arts as essential experiences that enhance the community’s vitality.
